River John’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Each year, the River John Community Action Society hosts the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Bissell Park, a festive tradition that brings the community together to kick off the holiday season.

Friends and neighbours gather to enjoy hot chocolate, food, carols, and a visit from Santa as the trees lights up the park. It’s a simple, joyful evening that captures the spirit of the season and the warmth of our village.

The event is free and open to all, with thanks to the volunteers who help decorate the trees, decorate the village, prepare refreshments, and keep the tradition going year after year.
